Where do we sleep and do we need to bring anything?
You will sleep in a building just outside Heiloo in a town called Limmen. It has four toilets, 4 showers and one large sleeping place. When you don’t have a car, we will drive you from en to the sports hall/ sleeping quarter. For an exact route description, see the ‘route description’ button on the website.
You will have to bring a sleeping bag, an airmattress and a pillow because there are no beds. The place will be locked down during the games so your gear is safe. Anyhow we advice you to bring as less expensive gear as needed. You can never be sure and the tournament organisation cannot be held responsible.
I would like to sleep apart from the group. Can you give me information?
When you would like to sleep apart from the group, we have one suggestion. The best change for a stay in Heiloo you can find on this website: www.goldentulipheiloo.nl. When you don’t have a car we can pick you up from this hotel.
You can also decide to spend one out of two nights in a hotel that is your call.
We would like to stay in Amsterdam after the tournament. Can you give us advice?
Amsterdam is about 30 minutes by car and the same for the train. It is an easy connection.
The best change for information about Amsterdam is the following website: www.vvvamsterdam.nl. You can select multiple languages.
We would like to confirm our stay. Do we need to transfer any money?
There is no need to transfer your money. When you confirm your participation we trust you will do everything to join the tournament. You will be asked to pay before the first game.
What is the level of referees?
Our referees all have at least experience at the highest level of our “rayon”. That’s three levels below the highest national level. Several referees are experiences at a higher level. In the past we were lucky to meet some experienced international referees. The referees will have a great tournament because of the party, the atmosphere during the tournament and lots of laughs.
What would be a reason for me to join the tournament?
At the beginning of a new basketballseason you get the chance to challenge several teams. Are you in good shape or not? You don't have to referee other games, the organisation will take care of that. A great party after the first tournamentday.
Meeting other European contestants and a smooth organisation during these days. Former contestants confirm, it’s a tournament for players with fun that like to relax and talk ‘nonsense’ after the game.
